I have 9 or 10 days left, the core game loop is done, the ui is done, the menus are done, the base video is done, the audio is done, the end screen is done...... Now I'm playing with audio levels and making it more pretty, I do believe I'm into the 'polish' stage!

As this is my first game jam I've been watching the submissions, or lack of them so far. There are only 5 at this stage, I am hoping there are more to come before I submit mine. I have now also entered a music jam / song jam. I couldn't help myself after I learnt that itch.io hosts other kinds of jams.

Once the game is polished I need to move on to screenshots, a game-play video and a preview video. It doesn't end after the game is done. I am concerned about what format I need to submit in, so far the other submissions are all downloadable, I'm hoping I see a few browser games pop up soon or I'm going to have to learn more stuff!

Some early decisions that have paid off: Planning, planning, planning, models and art first, keep the code simple, focus on art and audio. I started with a colour palette in Paint.net, incredible to see what that has grown into.

Using Blender3D's video mixer: (new to me.)

Using Audacity to stack some of my recordings for the audio.
