I've got an animation going in Blender now, have got to a point where I need a story or three to give me some focus / poi around the train. Here are the settings I've gone for in Blender;

Render: EVEE - render; 8 / 8

12 fps

1280x720 resolution

It's very basic but I have 1200 frames to render, it's pretty quick now but as I add more lighting and eventually fog the render time will go up. The low frame rate should suit the horror theme.

Next steps for today;

  • come up with a few stories

  • start on the audio (chain and doors for now will do - mp3 recorder + Audacity)

  • think about the game loop and how the user will be incorporated into this and the story (point and click? Click to reveal? Diary?.)

  • Make a prototype video with audio (kden live)

I'm at this stage with the animation now;

I have a bit of time today so I'll get on it, will update later.
